Their Story: The Mullane Family/ Limerick Family Photography

I know that I always gush about how much fun I had with each family that I photographed in every blog post, but truly, this family is special.  And ANYONE who knows them knows this to be true.  Jim and Lori live life with tremendous passion, and that is how they love each other and their beautiful daughters.  And that love comes right back to them in squeezes and hugs and tickles and squeals of delight from those sweet girls.  It's absolutely amazing to watch this family together.  The love is overwhelming because they know how precious each is to the whole.

This past fall I had the pleasure of photographing the Mullanes for the second time.  I am absolutely smitten with this crew and hope to be making autumn dates with them until Jim is walking each girl down the aisle!  Truly!  We held this session right in their backyard and let the girls just play.  

It was such a blast.

I already cannot wait until next fall.

Although I'm secretly hoping to steal Lori away for a few runs this spring!

Their Story: The Kuhre Family/ Pottstown Family Photography

Jeremy, Melody, and little Carter are a wonderful reminder of how precious family is.  I met with this beautiful little family on a chilly autumn afternoon last October (yes, I am so behind with my session blogging!).  Carter was just a little guy, but such a huge love magnet.  Mom and Dad were so over the moon for him (and for each other too), and I left the session pretty smitten with him myself!  

He was quite the heart stealer.

(just ask his parents!)

Thanks for a wonderful afternoon, Jeremy and Melody!  Carter is such a doll, and I had a blast with all of you.  I wish you all such joy and success too, as you head on your next adventure, as Jeremy heads to graduate school at Cornell!

Their Story: Alex & Sean/ Valley Forge Engagement Portraits

I thought maybe I could push spring along this week with some loving images from my engagement session with Sean and Alex.  Spending an evening last fall with them, we photographed these at Valley Forge Park.  Nothing like young love to warm your heart after this long and dreary winter!

Their Story/ The Novotny's

It was as if my evening got a little sunnier.

The yellows, pinks, and bright oranges that Karlene, Steve and Ava were wearing cast a warm and sunny glow on the garden that evening.  Or maybe it was they themselves.

Anyone who knows them would probably go with the latter.

It was a simple session, but a wonderful one. 

Lots of smiles, lots of laughing, and lots of hugs.

I could tell as I photographed them that each of them saw themselves as the luckiest person on earth because of the other two.

It was wonderful to experience and capture such love.

This week we celebrate the loves of our lives, though I'm pretty certain these three celebrate each other daily.

I do.

I have the best, most beautiful, fun, and loving friends ever.

And I like to show them off, so every fall and spring, I spend a day photographing them and their families.  

It's one of the highlights of my year.

Life is so wonderful with good friends.

The Hafer Family/ Douglassville Family Photography

I fear I am falling behind in sharing all of the wonderful family sessions I've had the pleasure to photograph over the past couple of months.  Tis the portrait season and it's getting crazy, but I'm hoping to get back on track blogging about the amazing people that I've been spending time with.

Anyone who knows Amy knows how amazing this woman is.  She is a blessing to all those around her, especially her 3 beautiful kids!  We finally made a date to capture some family portraits before the start of school this year and it was a blast!

I'm hoping this is not my last portrait session with this awesome family!   We had a great time shooting, but then spent time afterwards just talking and connecting and I enjoyed that time so much.  What wonderful kids!  What a testimony to what a wonderful mom Amy is.

The Kirk Family: Pottstown Family Photography

What a wonderful reason for a portrait session!

Mr. and Mrs. Kirk celebrated 50 years of wedded bliss this summer and their sons (well, their sons' wives- let's be honest!) put together this portrait session for them.  The family was all together to celebrate, and we were all set to enjoy the beauty of The Hill School campus and create some wonderful memories.  

Then the rains came.  And it poured for just one hour- the hour of our session.

But I would imagine that in 50 years of marriage, a little rain must fall, and that one of the secrets to making it 50 years together is by working through the storms.  And so we did.

We found a nice covered area on campus and got some great stuff.

You can hardly even tell it was pouring all around us.

Here are a few favorites of Mr. and Mrs. Kirk, sons Dell and Jim along with their wives, Theresa and Lynda, and their five grandchildren.

Happy Anniversary, Dell and Eleanor!
