Day 15 of our Month of Photo Fun brings an idea that is near and dear to my heart and one that I can't wait to share with you here. Today's idea is to consider blowing up your images, and it is one that really makes sense once you see it for yourself.
I used to think an 8x10 print was huge!
(Below is an 8x10, which looks large next to the 3x5 prints next to it.)
Then I discovered the 11x14 print. Wow, that's huge!
(Below is an 11x14 print, which looks large next to the now smaller looking 8x10.)
But THEN I discovered the 16x20 wall portrait. And I fell in love!
(Below is one of my 16x20 wall portraits, displayed next to my itty bitty 8x10 prints on the shelf.)
Grouped together, 3 of these stunning wall portraits make up what I love to call my "Wow Wall". Because every time I walk into this room I see that wall and say "Wow!" Every time.
When it comes to wall portraits, bigger really is better. Treat your portraits like art and display them as they should be displayed. Don't be afraid to go big and go bold!
As for me, I'm ready to go bigger and in our new home we'll be hanging a 24x36 canvas wrap of my favorite portrait (shown in our Day 9 assignment).
I'll be sure to take photos of it and share. Or better yet, come on over and enjoy it with me!

I have blown up pictures of my kids in my basement. I love the way the look, by similar to what you show. Playing it safe I only did 11x14 and put them in 16x 18 frames so I cling of cheated :)
Great tips!
